About Me – The Person Behind the Programme
I’ve never been someone who fits neatly into one box. Over the years I’ve worn many hats—coach, leader, author, creator, facilitator and award winner. But if I had to describe what sits at the heart of everything I do, it’s simple: I help people bring their ideas, visions and dreams to life. In many ways, I see myself as a catalyst for transformation.
Two things have always fascinated me:
People and Transformation
I’m deeply curious about human potential—what drives people, how they grow and what becomes possible when someone truly believes in themselves. Alongside that curiosity is a lifelong love of books and learning. Outside of work you’ll often find me enjoying family time, great conversations, a good spa day, or occasionally a glass of cognac.
I grew up in West London as the eldest of six children, which is probably where my leadership skills first started to develop. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon or come from a wealthy background, but I was raised with strong values. My father was generous and non-conformist, and my mother was bold, determined and incredibly resilient. Those qualities shaped the way I see the world.
Like many people, there were things I loved about growing up and things that silently frustrated me too. Even when I was young, I had a strong desire to create a meaningful life—one that included fulfilling work, prosperity, strong relationships and spiritual growth. I wanted to understand who I was and what my purpose might be.
My interest in personal development began when I was about 15 years old. An uncle gave me a few books to read, including Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and The Winner’s Edge by Denis Waitley. At the time I didn’t realise it, but those books were quietly shaping my thinking. They sparked a deep curiosity about success, growth and what people are truly capable of achieving.
That curiosity followed me into my early career.
My first job was in a busy shoe store in London, and it was there that my competitive spirit and drive really surfaced. I quickly became one of the top salespeople and was regularly promoted. At just 18, inspired by a supportive manager and the books I was reading, I even designed my first training sessions on customer service and sales.
From there, my career took a colourful and unconventional path. I moved through various sectors and roles, often rising quickly through the ranks. At one point I accepted an opportunity to work in Ibiza with a large tour operator, where presentation skills, public speaking and sales performance were essential.
Along the way, something interesting became clear. I had a natural ability to lead teams, especially underperforming or disconnected teams and coached them to become engaged, motivated and high performing.
A defining moment came in 2003 when I discovered professional coaching. It was more than a lightbulb moment, it was calling. I realised that the way I naturally led people—through vision, development and transformation—was essentially coaching.
For more than 30 years I’ve been committed to developing my skills, knowledge and intellectual property. I often describe it as “skills stacking”—continually learning, refining and building on experience.
Since then, I’ve built a coaching business, designed workshops and programmes, written extensively, published a book and worked with clients across different industries and countries. Each experience has shaped the unique approach I bring to helping people grow and achieve meaningful results.
Creating Redesign and Elevate-Her is an extension of that journey. It’s part of my deeper purpose: empowering people to become the best version of themselves, elevate how they live and work, and turn their vision into reality.
